The Future for Hope Shines

Hope Shines 2014 Rwanda Camps are coming to a close. The last of our American volunteers will be leaving this evening and myself along with our Executive Director, Dan Gladden, will be wrapping up our last meetings tonight before heading back to Denver tomorrow afternoon.

I have to say that Hope Shines Rwanda Camps 2014 will be viewed as a turning point for Hope Shines, Inc and a look forward to a VERY bright future. We have made many new connections for future networking and to grow our programing here in Rwanda. We have also strengthened old partnerships like with Generation Rwanda (now Kepler) who have provided our translators since 2009. We leave Rwanda this year with more HOPE… Hope for our children as they grow to become upstanding young adult leaders, Hope for the right steps forward leading us to become a registered NGO in Rwanda, Hope that all the new people we have met along the way during this trip to Rwanda will lead to great new partnerships and further support in country for our children and future programming.

Hope Shines definitely has a bright and prosperous future ahead of us and I am proud of how much this organization has grown in the 3 weeks I have been in Rwanda. Now onward home to fundraise and seek out the support to make all of our ideas a reality!
