Hope Shines joined the Posner Center in January 2014. The Posner Center brings together 50+ development-oriented businesses and organizations in a 25,000 square-foot shared space in Denver, Colorado to enable them to exchange ideas, cut costs, and improve the products and services they deliver. ADP-Logo_5Hope Shines and ADP collaborated on a grant through Posner Center’s 2015 International Collaboration Fund. This inaugural small grants program is designed to fund collaborative projects that broaden and strengthen the work of Posner Center’s Tenant and Member organizations by helping them build capacity, explore new directions, solidify partnerships, and ultimately improve their impact. Hope Shines will explore opportunities to utilize ADP’s expertise in developing agricultural cooperatives to support caregivers of disadvantaged children in Rwanda with Business Development Services (BDS) training. Similarly, ADP will identify the needs of children of the women’s cooperative they support to determine if they can be incorporated into Hope Shines’ child programs. This collaboration will link caregivers with BDS training and cooperative women’s children to educational and health programs.

Brannock Logo RedHope Shines has been providing shoes about every other year from generous donations of donors as well as Crocs. A few years ago we decided we needed to better fit the children’s feet by getting measurements of their feet annually with their Health Checks and getting shoes that are their actual size. Hope Shines volunteers have been doing this with a measuring tape and recording in centimeters. We are proud to say that in April 2014 Hope Shines and Brannock partnered and for Rwanda camps 2014 Hope Shines will be bringing a Brannock device with them to camps to properly measure the children’s shoe sizes!
